What should my asking price be (71 383 4-speed trans)?

I was getting ready to put some stuff on e-bay and a local guy said he was looking for something I happen to have.  So, I'm trying to come up with a price that is fair to both of us.  I did not see a listing right now that matches this description but I could have missed it.

I believe what I have is a 71 4-speed trans.  Stamped on the pad PP8833252 with the rest of the numbers messed up - almost looks like somebody intentionally did that messing up.  Same side also says C-99129 H.  Galen's book unfortunately gives part numbers and I don't know how to go from what I have to the car for sure but I recieved this trans with a G71 HP 383 motor that I'll soon be selling too and assuming it goes with it.

Here's what I have and I have a guy that just wants the trans so please give individual prices and thanks in advance:
833 Trans
Bell housing
Complete shifter (e body) with rods and rusty hurst pistol grip
Clutch fork
11" clutch assembly
10.5" clutch assembly
Throw out bearings
I might have pedals too

Some of these parts may be throw away / core but I'm not a 4-speed expert so listing anyway

well there was a guy at the fall flinge selling complete conversion pkgs for 2500-3000 range , so probably 1/2 that or a little more given you don`t have pedals Z bar etc

Thanks for the reply.  This is not a 18-spline but rather the 23 spline.  I don't think I have the z-bar but will have to dig but know I do not have the flywheel cover.

Your estimate sounds high to me but I'd gladly take $1K for it or listen to other opinions.

I'd probably expect to see a price between $850-$1,000.00 judging by what seems to be the norm on eBay.  Chryco is probably right that it is worth more as he's been around these cars much longer than me.
