Attaching LCA Boxing Plates
« on: January 04, 2008 - 02:14:35 PM »
About a year ago I had found a place that would clean up LCAs and weld the AR Engineering boxing plates to them for about $80. I could swear it was Magnum Force, but I don't see a mention of it on their website. Anybody here ever see what I was talking about?

No, but the plates themselves are only around $20-25 a pair.

I know, HP, but I've got a) no welding equipment, b) no welding skills, and c) no one around here recommended to do welding.  :(  I'm somewhat leery about handing this over to just anyone, since it won't be really tested until the part is being significantly stressed.
