« on: April 11, 2007 - 11:58:44 AM »
a guy down the road has a 72 Challenger...
it has the large bumber guards typicaly found on the 73-74

were there any late 72's that had them from the factory?

From the factory, current model year cars usually got the left overs from the previous model year, ie '72 got left over '71 parts.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

72 turn indicators are different from 73-4

73-4 have screws thru the tops...72 do not

no new bumpers were added, one(now two owner) car.

so the claim is that a 72 came from the factory with what we know as 73 Bumper guards...
