« on: May 06, 2007 - 09:04:28 PM »
Cuda or Barracuda, just want a 1970 model, prefer manual tranny, but would do an auto. Budget is $35k max. I look at fleabay and collectorcartraderonline, where else should I look online? Im in the Dallas, Tx area by the way.

thanks

www.crazedlist.org

You can use it to search every craigslist in the country in one swoop. There are a lot of cars on there right now, but maybe not in that range though. I was mostly looking for 71s though.

There's also www.cudaworld.com, www.cars-on-line.com, www.musclecars-and-classics.com (search standard ads), www.autabuy.com, www.dealsonwheels.com, www.buzztrader.com, www.mopartraderonline.com, www.moparsonsale.com & www.moparts.com (forums under E body cars for sale).

Some are better than others and there are some ads that are on multiple sites.

The only place I've ever been warned against is hlpag.com :poopoke:

Back when I was looking into Chargers a couple of guys there had bad experiences with them.

Their's a 70 for sale on this site. The guy is located in Austin, Tx. It currently has a 72 grill, but at 22K that would give you a plenty of money to clean up and swap out the grill. Its pretty clean unless your looking for a already run through car, but at 35K good luck. Check out the link.

I tried the "crazedlist" link, and all the pages came back as invalid. Are there settings that can cause this?

Use the Firefox web browser (www.firefox.com) and click the green link at the top of the Crazedlist.org home page for instructions on what to do.

I had to change the referral settings on FF to get Crazedlist to work properly, but as soon as I did it was really easy.

Willhaven basically nailed them all.

www.cudaworld.com
www.cars-on-line.com
www.musclecars-and-classics.com
www.autabuy.com
www.dealsonwheels.com
www.buzztrader.com
www.mopartraderonline.com
www.moparsonsale.com
www.moparts.com
www.ebay.com

Also, do a Google/Froogle search and vary your search words.
"1970 Cuda" will get different results to "70 Cuda" Vary: Plymouth, Barracuda etc etc.......

If you have time, I would wait until a member on this forum sells one. If you can't trust these guys, to give you a faiur deal. Too bad you aren't looking for a 72, this looked to be a great one.

There's lots of specialty places online too. Try http://www.texastoybox.com for one.

You could ask any of the folks on http://www.cardomain.com if they want to sell theirs as well.

All you should have to do is type "about:config" as your webpage URL, then it brings up a list of settings and you type in "sendrefer" and let it filter down to the one thing you want. Then all you should have to do is right click>modify and set it to 0.

As far as I know this basically tricks Craigslist into not knowing that all the pings from your computer are coming from one machine (since they don't want the site to be used that way).
