Factory just primed it. I would paint it though for better rust prevention.
when i stripped my top it was painted up the sailpanels and around the back window, but, the top of the roof was primed and it appeared to have some type of cler over the primer, so the general consensus here is paint the entire thing its not gonna cost that much more and youll have a longer lasting protection under the new vinyl
