My dad's Challenger!!
« on: November 09, 2003 - 12:56:38 AM »

I know many of you have heard about my Dad's Challenger... but haven't seen it... well, digging through my computer earlier today, I found some awesome pics of it!! These were taken at Buckingham Fountain in Downtown Chicago... yes, the car is right in front of the fountain... our car club worked out a deal with Chicago Park District to let us take some cars down there for a photo shoot... imagine, 12-15 Mopars rolling in front of the fountain on a nice sunny day... ::) :o ;D ;D Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it... but I heard it was an absolute blast!!  8)

 :D Hey LB,
Thanks for the photos. What size tires does he have in the rear? The one thing I always loved about the 72-74 Challenger, was the side louvers and stripes. Coool  ;D

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I've sent this link on to my dad... so hopefully he'll see this... I keep telling him to join the board... but so far nothing...

Tire size... I'm heading over there tonight and I'll get that info for ya!! ;D

As far as clean... it's a nice car, but far from perfect!! Granted it's only got just a touch over 50K miles... but there's rust here and there... some bubbling... few other minor things.. like I said, it's not perfect... buttttttttt... it might be going up for sale soon... he really wants a big block... preferably E-body seeing as how a B-body wouldnt' fit in his garage...  ::) One little fact I forgot to mention... it's a 340 4-speed with the pistol grip... oh PG... you interested!!!! ;) :D :P

Great pics LB!  Your dad's car looks pretty clean.  Can't tell there's any rust on the thing...she hides it very well.

Hey MEKrunner... he's got 255 60 R15's in back and 215 60 R14's up front... gives the car a nice stance...but the front is a little too low it seems sometimes... ::) personally I like it!! ;D

 ;) Thanks LB,
In the spring I'll be looking for some wheels, so I was curious. I think I will go with something a little taller in the front though.
