Well it's been kind of a long but worthwhile day. First I gotta thank my great friend Donny and his nephew Tony for helping out today!!
I figured I'd post some pics and give my
(as usual) so if any body else wants to do this you got a insite. It's not that hard to do
Secondly Kudo's again to SSBC!!!!!!!!
We did not have to do any altering/grinding/drilling /hammering on the brake kit. Everything is of good quality and fits the first time! The only thing I din't feel sure of was that we had to run the brake hose between the spindle and the shock. But after it was together it made sense.
Now here's a important tip from BIG. Dont make a BIG mistake, alltho all the brakes and hoses on this car were new anyway.... I strongly advise you get new brake lines (the Right Stuff has them). The majority of our time were spent jaggin with lines that looked good but we couldn't get the fittings to spin free.
We had to redo the ends that met the hoses and the end that meets the proportioning valve that goes back to the rear! I think we spent more time on this than installing the kit
(and we had the right tools).
Anyway we unpacked the kit to do a little inventory. All good!
We gave the young guy with the good back the underdash work!
We were kinda lazy... we left the shaker on! (even tho I don't have the new grills in it yet.) The calipers mount to a thick plate that lines up perfect. I went with the slotted rotors.Early Mustang style 4 piston calipers, so they are not "free floating". Then we mounted and balanced those "275 BFG'S" And put them on the rear/moved the 245'S to the front. Thank you NZ!!! They fit PERFECT with those 15X8 ralleys!!
After a few small adjustments time to go home. NIKKI stops on a dime!!
