cooling system.
« on: June 21, 2007 - 09:21:33 AM »
340 30 over. I recently bypassed the heater core by cutting a small piece of hose to connect the water pump/manifold. I also intalled a moroso overflow bottle. Now she fills up the overflow and burps coolant. I have the coolest running thermostat i could get.  Should I plug both holes and not run the hose?  without the heater hooked up,(less coolant in the sytem) will they generally run a little hotter?  thanks!! :1zhelp:

I never found that adding or losing the heater cooling circuit made that much of a difference in reducing temps, and was marginal at best at reducing temps during overtemps.

I bypased the heater core because it was dumping heat into the car.The heater box needs work.
