I did a little smoozin' this morning. I found out the car is owned by..... the president of Copart. I can't believe you could get tired of it. Or that he'd need the $ but who knows. Car does have a reserve...

A friend of ours that owns a wrecking yard told me while we were talking one day not too long ago, that the president of Co Part was once an owner of a junk yard out in Milpitas, CA. that was known for Mopars. I knew the wrecking yard he was talking about. I used to go visit him and his dad almost every week end back in the late 70's to early 80's.

If I ran into him, he would probably remember me. His Dad was known as "Red"  Parts I still have are from that very same place. I just can't remember the name of that yard now.  :pullinghair:

I'm sure a few of you would like an update on this thread. Sorry I've had a busy weekend. Workin' on the BIG Girl (my Pontiac) and snapped a bolt off in the intake manifold  :banghead: . The thing of it is I could have avoided the problem cause I thought there may be a problem and did not follow my plan.  I GOT LAZY, a little heat would have went a long way. Anyway....

I was high bid........
But did not make reserve.........

He may still contact you and make you an offer hopefully.

BTW, I remember now.

They originally had a business called E & H auto wrecking.
You could give him a call and use this as small talk then talk business again with him.

Good Luck

I was looking at their main page, and have a question. They have an "AVG" dollar amount. Is that the current auction price, average value, or what?

Every car on the site has a "dollar " value... except I have no clue who determines it. As most insurance adjusters would have no clue appraising that GTX. Also when a car such as the GTX is up for sale they're a some BIG unknowns. This is simply because they do not normally sell these types of vehicles and are selling thousands of cars across the county every week. The people that work there know nothing!

Unknowns

I did get a call from their office today. Of course I was not in at the time. They want me to raise my bid. Keep in mind there is still a "buy fee" and I'd have to get it back to Wisconsin. Ok guys (and gals) if it is what it is... WIW??????????
