I hope this is the case as it's good for this board and mine and others like it. Is Moparts registered seller?
They have tonnes of products and would be easily the biggest most well know Mopar forum/community. You make a good point though, no other boards have been closed or asked to. Moparchat, dodgechallenger forum, dodgetalk the list goes on. Hopefully it is just the legal sales of Mopar goods. Do you think they'd care about Mopar signs or logos on sites that aren't registered? Or would it only be for selling parts?

:clueless:

I don't think they mind about the forums as such, because they promote interest in their products. It's when someone tries to make money from their registered logos or trademarks that they swing into action. I've seen it on various boards of different subject matter. I'm also pretty sure, that if you want to use their trademarks/logos, all you have to do is buy a permit or rights from them, and it will be allowed.

I think everyone is right on when they say it's "selling" or "profiting" from the someone elses name or trademarks that has created the problem.

My experience has been very good with DC.  They allow me (with written permission) to use their logo and trademark (even the old logo, sneaky pete, that is not in used on the viper badging any more) for our viper club to profit and have been big supportors of the VCA for many years.    :money:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

It is no big loss, just a bunch of a-holes over there anyhow.  And trying to find something over there is like trying to find hen's teeth.  Glad to see it go, just hope they don't come here.

That's a little harsh, the Admin doesn't choose who or what people say, to a point.
At the end of the day, it was someones pride, joy and money that was squashed.

Though, from the reasons given of using the TM to sell unregistered maybe DC was quite in it's right.

I've tried 4 posts over there, every time it turned into a bash fest for no reason, even though I was correct in all 4 cases.  So I let my account lapse and never went back.

That's why this place, and Moparts, DodgeCharger.com and RamChargerCentral is where I'll stay, with good people.

I forgot to add that since most of the members here are East of me I look forward to meet a lot of you in Carlisle this year. It would be nice if the few of us in the West could meet at Mopars in the Park in June also. We will have to pick a time to get togather during the show also.

Moparts is 10000000x's better then NoStyle.  It is like going from a tonka toy (moparts) to a beat up matchbox (NoStyle).
