AAR fiberglass bumper

There are no studs with the bumper.  You could drill through it and use bolts if you wanted to.  I decided to fiberglass in some studs to the back side of the bumper (see pictures).  I then made a real simple bracket out of aluminum (the red tape is just holding the two piece bracket in place, since I don't have the capability of welding aluminum).  I just used square aluminum tubing and flat stock.  You could also use steel.

FY1Cuda, yes I imagine you could fiberglass in a steel strip, or try the method proposed by 360Cuda.

Torred, did you get yours installed?  Just curious how you mounted yours.

They come in black gelcoat.I want a smooth look so I am going to fab a piece of sheet metal and attach some studs to that and then fiberglass it to the inside just like Travis.I haven`t decided if I am going with the stock barckets or amking some lightwieght ones.

Thanks, Travis and Torred, for the info and pix. Looks very do-able. I'll probably put a steel strip all the way along it with studs welded into the strip and then 'glass over that. The price is certainly right for the project.
One last question: It's my understanding that the valences and elastomeric bumpers are different between '70 and the other years.  If so, is this a '70 shape bumper, or do they have a couple of different versions?

I think it's considered a 70?  If I remember right, I heard the differences was in the size of the cut out for the front license plate?  But to be honest, I don't know if that's true.  See if this picture helps?
