Car Resto Website
« on: April 09, 2007 - 02:02:35 PM »
Hey all,

I've talked to Rev and thought it would be a good idea to get Don a website that would have the restoration process of his new car.  I can post pics, text, and all sorts of other information on there so he (and others) can see what's gone into the project and how it all happened.  I just registered the domain "TheCudaGuy.com" and I'll post the site up there once he's presented with the car (so he doesn't accidentally come across it in the meantime).  I will keep the site on my other site (bobscuda.com) and let you know the firm link once I post something up.

I'd like ideas on some designs that I'm thinking about purchasing for the site.  I'll post some links up in a day or so and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Also, to make this happen, I need TONS of pictures/video and text, so if you're donating a part or purchasing something for this cause, send a pic (or pics) with the items you've donated.  In the end, we'll have a nice list of what everyone donated and everyone elses warm thoughts and wishes!  :2thumbs:

Ok here's some links (in no particular order):

1.) http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/13586.html
2.) http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/12769.html
3.) http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/8233.html
4.) http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/12861.html
5.) http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/10999.html
6.) http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/10828.html

Those are the main ones that I think I can work with.  Remember, I can change almost ANYTHING in the template, so if there's an image of a bike and we want a cuda, it's usually not a big deal.

Here's one flash site that I did for a company in GA...
http://www.robertfahey.com/gw.htm

The site takes a while to load b/c it's got about 70mb of videos in it, but it's worth the wait, the site is nice and clean.

Let me know what you think of the above templates and I'll toss a poll up to see which one everyone likes the most.  :2thumbs:

Sorry it's been awhile since an update, but I went on vacation and it's been crazy at work since my return.  :faint:

I've been able to make small progress on the site, mainly because the source code that came with the template is all jumbled up.  Looks like a 3rd grader trying to write in chinese.  So I've opted for another site, same look, just without the flash due to time constraints.  I'm working on a few things for it right now and promise to get a link to you guys once I have something to show.  :2thumbs:
