Second Owner 55,000 mile 1975 Formula in Fresno:
« on: May 21, 2007 - 10:26:51 PM »
Greetings,

I am contemplating trading my 1975 Formula 350 4V for a plain jane 318 or slant six 1970 Challenger that is running and in decent shape. The car has under 60,000 original miles and is a no rust California car with blue & yellow plates.

Since purchasing it, I have redone the brakes, added 1-3/4 Hedman Headers and a 2.50" mandrel bent exhaust system with a crossflow muffler. The original Rallye II wheels are in storage and the car was recently fitted with 15 x 8" Corvette Rallyes and 255/60/15's at all four corners.

In storage I have a complete, unfired, 413 CID Pontiac engine, ported 6X-4 heads, custom camshaft, roller rockers, SFI balancer, Hays 30 pound flywheel, new Muncie M-20 with shifter/linkage and a fully restored 8.5" 10-Bolt with disc brakes and 3.23:1 gears. There are also extra Trans Am fenders and hundreds or spare parts to include spoilers, shakers, trunklids, gauges, exhaust manifolds, gaskets, carbs, distributors and much, much more.

My plan would be to trade the car outright for a 1970 Challenger and then swap/sell the engine, transmission and rear axle for like MoPar replacement parts. At this point, the purchase of a Plum Crazy 1970 slant six, non A/C Challenger is up in the air and I have no idea how the deal is going to turn out. If I don't end up with a Challenger, I am not going to get rid of the Formula, so at this time, I have no immediate plans to sell it outright.

The market here in Central California is insane for Challengers and I don't want to sell the car (and deprive myself of a hot-rod) and then not be able to afford to buy anything fun to play with.

I would like for the forum to keep this in mind. Feel free to email or PM with any questions...Robert
