Engine stamping decode help

Ok, I searched the previous threads for this, but the number I have doesn't make since.

The Stamping on the top pad shows :

E 440
9-20

Which makes since with regards to the build date of my Challenger, but stampings on the left pad reads:

CP45K9C124775

I thought is was supposed to just be the VIN, so I would expect 0B177595   I bought the car in 78 and would have thought is was the original engine but ...

lookslike the 440 cAMe out of a 69 Chrysler 4 dr , E440 is a 69 code

Looks like it came out of a 69 Chrysler Town and Country according to the first two digits.
