Is there a difference between a normal R/T grille and a R/T SE grille? :clueless:

No difference in the grille but didn't the SE have an extra chrome trim piece?
Or, was that on the rear, or not at all? :clueless:  Never the less the grille was the same.

PAint operation on the 70 and 71. Dark argent/light argent versus dark argent and satin black I think...

As always, correct me if I am mistaken.

I think the grill is the same but the SE is supposed to have a chrome trim strip on the lower valence.  Smiling at you!!

:iagree:  The R/T grille is the same as the R/T-S/E grille.  The molding on the front valance is part of the molding package which was included in the S/E package.  The molding package was available separately.  It was ordered on my 6 pack R/T.  This makes my R/T look like an R/T-S/E with the exception of the rear window.

In 1971 all grilles were molded from a black plastic.  The non-R/T grilles were painted with a textured argent silver.  The R/T grilles were left unpainted "naked" black plastic.

:iagree:  My R/T was also ordered with the SE trim package, chrome front valance molding, rear of hood and fenders, top of door (arm burners  ;D ) rear trim panel and wide rocker moldings.
