Anybody looking for a skill craft carrer job?
« on: May 24, 2007 - 09:08:52 AM »
No school for what I do, 1.5 yr on the job training. must travel , no sales, 2 man crews, all expense paid, YOU MUST BE SELF MOTIVATED. And work well with evryone. I work in every major company in the US. If you want world wide, it's there. but I dont leave the states myself.

I work on rotary kilns. Grinding the tires and rollers. Some of these kilns are over 700 ft long , some are very small.

If you have married family problems, it's not for you. I work 6 or 7 months a year. as a trainee you work 9 or so.  Here's some benifits

profit sharing
401k plan
96 hrs vacation a yr to start
Free training
210 a week for meals or 30 a day
Free motels and fuel
Company vehicle provided
overtime after 8 hrs
overtime sat  and dbl sunday

payday every friday by direct deposit
average hrs a week is around 55 to 65
pay starts at around 18 or so. You average around 200 to 250 a day plus room fuel and 30 for food.

It is very hard to find anybody to do my job. And we need to train a few good people for long term jobs

You work inside or outside in every state and all weather conditions. So it can be 30 below or in the desert 140 degrees. You will average working in 20 or more states a year. Drug tests are a must. You pretty much work on your own, so you have to be dependable and be able to talk to key personel within your abilities.

I like to train people in their 30's or late twenties. The younger people usually quit because of family personal problems, partying, or drinking too much.

To start, the job pay average is around 36 to 40k a yr. And when you are trained you can make up-to 3k a week, and work a schedule that fits your life. I myself work like 4 weeks on 2 weeks off then off a few weeks for the 4 of july and usually take december off. So I work around 6 months a yr is all. I dont need the income.

The office is in SIOUX CITY IOWA.  You live wherever you want. your checks go to your bank by direct deposit.  We have offices in
canada, england, australia, india and other places I dont go to. lol
There is less then 100 people in the world in my craft as a special type of machinist. There are a million or more rotaries to work on. So you dont run out of work. After a while, you actually hide from work.. :bigsmile:like me hiding for this last 30 days. :roflsmiley: When you become a supervisor, it is easier to give your demands.

I am not saying the job is hard or easy. To me it is easy for my trade, but the enviroment and surroundings can make it tough

I was working at Holcim cement last month. 7  12 hr days  no biggy, but the shell was 796 degrees and I was 4 ft away grinding on a steel wheel 30' tall and 60 "  wide. took off 2 tons of metal .001 to .0015 at a time. The unit took 1 minute 15 seconds to spin 1 rev. I cut 3' wide at a time with a 3k lb machine.  This plant is 45 minutes north of St louis.

I would have to fly you to our office for a week of MSHA safety training. Then straight out to a job somewhere,

I/we could use some help.

This is a serious job, so if interested, you can expect to have things happen quickly. And the job is permanenet not for 6 months or a few yrs. 90 probation period to be sure you will be able to handle the work.
It's easy.......................ALAN

Man Al, this sounds what I would like to do.  Too bad I'm only 20 and need a few years to get things straight in my life.  If this is still available in a few years I would love to do this.  Dont worry about work ethic, I've grown up on a farm, and work here now.  Its weird sitting down during the day for a few hours, it just doesnt feel right, I cant do it   :roflsmiley:  Work is all I know how to do.  Temp?  I live in WI.  Turn on the heat in the morning, a/c in the afternoon.   :smilielol:

Hope you find someone for the job, it does sound like fun!   :swaying:
