74 Barracuda VIN TAG - What should it look like?

According to the TXDOT office the new tag they would affix would have the original VIN number on it however it would not look like the original and they would attach it to the pillar or some other place it couldn't be removed that is a permanent structure of the car.  I have never done this before so I am just going off of what I have been told. We'll see next week. I gotta get an appraisal and a notory to sign off on my paperwork first.

That's how they do it here in AZ.  Pop rivited to the door jam above the latch.  None of my cars have that but I have seen that at the shows
