Anyone collect Oil Filters ?
« on: June 11, 2007 - 08:40:16 AM »
I always thought everything was collected by someone.  Can't seem to find anyone on the internet that collects vintage oil filters.  Reason I'm looking is I just picked up a handfull of unused Fram filters, They look pretty old.  The address on the box is something like :  Providence 16  RI. ( pre 60's )  The gaskets are cork, so they have to be kinda old.  I have no clue what they fit, but I imaginge some old tractors or some such.

They are late 40's tractor filters.  Fram used to make good filters, these are really high quality compared to what they make today.

A couple pics in case anyone cares.

Very cool find!

There's always ----  :ebay:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car
