Groaning/creaking noise
« on: May 12, 2007 - 11:23:32 AM »
When I start moving from a stop (easing the clutch out) there's a "groaning-creaking" hard to describe noise from the rear of the car.

Has urethane bushings on the rear bar...thought about those..
tried it with door open...same...?

Any thoughts on what to check?

Makes me think of drum brakes that need some attention, maybe a little grease on the rub zones.

when assembling the rear shackles I use anti seize or wheel brg grease , same with the front bushing , I always use anti seize in there so there is a chance the front spring eye bolt can be removed int he future
where the brake shoes rub against the backing plate & pivot pin thereis a special silicone grease to use there

not sure. it's hard to tell while i'm driving it. I'll have to try a couple of different things out.

Thanks again.
