Best replacement muffler for '70 Challenger?
« on: June 03, 2007 - 08:18:27 AM »
I need a pair of muffler in original style. Where should I buy it?
Year One, Paddock, Laysons, Jacks, Jims or Accurate Exhaust Products (never heard of the company before)?
The prices vary from 79 each to 299 a pair? They should be with pentastar/part number. Could somebody tell me about the quality or the sound? Or are they all the same? Any experiences?

Thanks

Culvers

I have the year one duals with resonators. The mufflers are puny and they are too quiet for my taste.

Not sure of the mufflers, but I wouldn't hestitate to use Accurate Exhaust.  I bought a pair of SS exhaust tips, they were high quality and a great price.  Great customer service as well.  They didn't stick me on the shipping and handling like happens with YO.

I bought Accurate exhaust for my Cuda and the fit and quality is some of the best. There shipping was not out of site and they are very easy to deal with. I plan on buying some more exhaust stuff from them for my 71 Challenger RT in the near furture.

I have the Accurates on my '73 and they look great and sound fine.  Went in easily, too (or so I'm told).
