1970 Column Interlock and headers

I removed my column interlock awhile ago and am now thinking of reinstalling (when I find all the parts).  Will it clear inexpensive small block headers without modification?

Any one with experience, please chime in,

Not sure on small blocks but no on big blocks.

    Is your car an original 4 speed car then?  Mine wasn't, it was a 3 speed on the floor.  I'm asking because I'd like to know if you have the Reverse light on the dash or is that a '71 up thing?

70's definitely had the dash light.

I'm pretty sure they wont fit. "Will not fit column shift cars..." seems to ring in my head from the big and small block ones..regardless of price level.
