NEW BODY ARMOR

I just got my new body armor put togeather, Im going to LA to do some training on Tues, I will be gone for about 4 weeks.

The Armor weight is 50 lbs with out rounds!  Its so heavy I had to weigh it just to see :clueless: ???

Wow, thats some pretty neat looking equipment. I really have to give you guys credit for walking around in all that stuff, especially in the desert!  :2thumbs:

Kinda neat how it extends down to protect the family jewels  :cheers: I will agree with the last post and say that I hope you do not need to use it. Being Memorial Day though I wish to thank you for wearing it for mine and me :angelwings:

Don't worry, it gets lighter. I thought that thing was heavy as hell when they first fit it on us, but thank God we haven't had to wear ours much, except for those on ECP or tower duty. I've only had to where mine when they changed the uniform status on us from heightened mortar attacks and when I travel to different FOBs. We had to wear them a lot for training in the states of course and they always felt heavy then, but they aren't that bad when I have had to put them on in country since. Good luck with the training.

Man your really decked out  :thumbsup: We never wore our shoulder, groin, or neck protectors looking back I guess we probably should have  :dunno:

Wow! And I used to gripe about the 4 lbs. of Kevlar I wore on duty! :walkaway:
