Sema Show (Mopar OEM Restoration)

Been back from the Sema Show for a week and still haven't digested all the information. I'm in the 12 volt business but am restoring a 71 340 Challenger RT so I had to check out all the restoration stuff. Mopar had a HUGE booth dedicated to making the new ones go faster and restoration of the old ones. I got the distinct impression that Mopar was going to get heavy into the restoration parts business. As I type I'm thumbing thru the "Muscle Essentials" catalog I picked up. On the very first page it says to go to Mopar.com to take a look at the entire line of performace parts......................ALSO in Mopar magazine there is an article about the "New Mopar Restro Program" available from Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers as well as WDs and and"carefully chosen and licensed restoration parts retailers and manufacturers."  THERES MORE. "Mopars Authorized Restoration Parts Program also offers many advantages to licensed participants:" "1. Permission to use a DaimlerChrysler trademarks that are appropriate for the part. 2. Access to DaimlerChrysler's archive of blueprints, drawings and specifications for origional Mopar parts. 3. Use of origional tooling that produced the part, if available." 4.......Etc etc etc.......the rest is "peace of mind", "Community atmosphere", "legal guidelines" and so on.................All in all I think it's going to be great for everyone restoring their mopars because now everyone will be unloading all the "rare" parts because chances are they won't be so "rare" anymore............. Last but not least I saw on display the 2004 Hemi sedan that will be released next year. It looks like a Pacifica turned into a four door sedan powered by a the same hemi that's in the dodge trucks!!!!! I got a some pictures of cars on Webphotos.com. After going to the webphoto site scroll down on the right side and click on webphoto communities then in the search box type sema show 2003. Don't worry you don't have to buy or sign up for anything. If you see a picture you like I'll email it to ya, but keep in mind they're nothing special.

Went to Mopar.com and couldn't find any restro parts online.....(Not what it says in the catalog i"m holding)......ANYHOW......the catalog i'm holding shows 528 crate hemi's to 340 shortblocks. Engine paint, Dual quad mainfolds, 6 pack manifolds, all kinds of cams, cranks, heads and valve covers,  six pack carbs, hemi cross ram carbs, six pack air cleaners and tons of ign, valve bodies and tranny parts. They even have a picture of a 71 challenger L/front fender but I was told it wasn't available yet!!!!!! The catalog part number I'm looking at is P4510654 $3.95. It has tons of cool pics of your favorite muscle cars as well.
