1969 only. If I remember right, one of the other car makers had something similar and this was Chrysler's way of answering to that market segment.

W-30 442s came with red plastic inner fenders... weird that Plymouth felt they needed to have an answer to that.

It was also an option on the GTO I think in 67,very rare.

I did see it a few times. A friend of mine way back in the mid 80,s had a 68 or 69 barracuda, 318 4 speed car, and it had the red  inner fenders.
