I agree also about seeing alot of plum crazy cars, but owning a car that was originally FC7, I can't imagine painting it anything else. I am however thinking about bumble bee striping it, as it seems to be more rare.

My first 70 U-code; early build with a single non-remote nmirror, no appliques on the door panels. I always thought it looked tough with just a pair of R/T emblems on the front fender and the Bumble Bee stripe - i'm still on the fence about the wide rocker mldgs on this particular car but it came with them so back on they went. I hope the one i have being rebuilt now runs as well :burnout: :burnout:

Last i heard it was up in New Berlin, WI.  :)

I liked the bumble bee stripe and the hood treatment. Here is my 70 R/T as it sat in the driveway in 1979. The Powerwagon was a great truck.

Yeah now that I've thought of it, I'll probably go with black on the hood and the black Bumblebee stripe. Those were some great pics you guys put up, thanks for helping with the big decision. Now all I have to do is wait for the media blaster to call. It's been 7 days >:(, but I guess Ill wait if the job is done well.

MM1970,

That's a great looking example.  Plum Crazy is too common for me though.  Still a sharp looking car.

I am restoring a 70 R/T that FY1 Yellow that has that option.  It seems to be a rare option.  I am in the parts collecting stage and haven't really started working on it.  I have worked on the two doors but that's about it.

Fy1

I'm restoring an FY1 also.  It came with the rocker mouldings, V5X vinyl insert side mouldings (black) and door edge mouldings.  I've collected the rockers and side mouldings so far.  I can't decide if I'll use the side mouldings and door edge mouldings or not.  It is a U code R/T convertible.  I haven't been able to find a good picture of this combination yet.  Since it is all fender tag stuff, I'll probably go with it.  :bananasmi
