unfortunately the fair trade act isn't fair at all. The PST and GST assessed to canadians wanting to purshase parts from the US is a major problem and very expensive, UPS charges more than Fedex, But fedex and DHL are idiots to setup and deal with on a shipper stand point. Because of the rescent changes  they are all using dimensional weight to calculate charges rather than true weight and size. We all loose. the shipping companies have everyone by the Balls. as well as the borders.

:canada: :aarg: YO can put it wher the sun don't shine. They tell me to use Canadian Dealers they have an arrangement with. They say they have the parts. My last order 7 weeks and a $65 item picked up at their so called dealer was $158. The parts were junk! They told me to return them to the dealer and for $102 they would return them, if YO credits them, they would credit me $65. I am told this is the costs of freight to Canada. Their dealer in Canada is Unlimited Performance. I would like to get in on this game, but i dont think i've got the BALLS to do this to fellow Mopor or guys like us. All we want is a fair shake.
I went to a Cdn YO dealer whose multiplier on the catalog prices was 2.2!  I use Reproduction Parts Marketing in Saskatoon.  They are ok.  Probably won't help NZ440RT any.

The whole problem is that there is not one company that has everthing or all the parts and not one company that can provide cheap or inexpensive freight with tou taxes or duties being assessed. making a fair profit selling parts is not a bad thing . As long as it is fair and not over charging, Plus there is no quality part manufactures or suppliers for parts in Canada to my understanding

I checked out Dantes but his selection isn't the best, Jimsautoparts can go jump ship and Paddocks don't ship worldwide. Looks like my eBay feedback my climb....lol

Hi Carl,  I carry a bunch more stuff than  you see listed on the website.  If you don't see something listed chances are I carry it or can get it for you.
I do agree that shipping International has become very expensive.   I try to ship a much as I can via USPS, but the have very strict guidelines as far as max. pkg size.
If I can help you drop me a line.

Hey Dante, I have used you several times and was very happy with your service. May I add some constructive criticism? IMO, your site would benefit more with an [add to cart] or click to buy system on the majority, if not all, your parts. I realise this takes time and money but the end result will not only see your sales increase (two fold) but also make it 200% easier on your customers.

If they're like me emailing back and forth gathering items is fine once you get to know the seller and are comfortably running off big orders knowing they'll get it right and ship them fast but for 1st time buyers etc it's so much easier to "grab" a trolley/cart and go through the website and pick the parts needed. I just made an order at Paddocks but have always kept Dantes on my list. Thanks for popping in and raising the hand, much appreciated.

I am sorry here but I have to jump in and defend the USPS. Shipping to Canada has been painless and inexpensive with them. They even shipped a flywheel and crankshaft damper (from 440Source) to me by mail. It was so heavy that the Canada Post guy knocked on the door first to see if someone was home before dragging it out of the truck.

Carl - YO is yanking your chain. Anyone can ship via USPS to anywhere. They just don't want to do it because they are most likely not setup to use USPS. I use a YO distributor here in Calgary and they bring the stuff in as a multiple shipment so the costs are down for shipping and clearance. Have you thought about getting hold of someone like these people in Canada, gather your order together (as they are agents for multiple suppliers) then ship one big order in a crate. You should be able to clear it yourself in Wellington if it is a crate size delivery, unless rules have changed. Years ago I cleared my car myself into NZ. The people I deal with here is Muscle Car Shop, Calgary, AB, Canada (403) 569-1957 Brian or Ian

Hi Carl, yes I know you are a previous customer of mine and understand your concern for a shopping cart. When I re-did the site early this year, I decided against a shopping cart mainly because there is no way to figure an accurate shipping cost when somebody is buying multiple items.  So I could put a shopping cart that would calculate parts cost but then I still need to contact the customer with the shipping quote. So at that rate its easier to send me an e-mail with the parts you need then to fill out a shopping cart.  I return all my e-mails during business hours rather quickly and if it is after hours then it is done in the AM.
Hope to hear from you again!

I have dealt with Dante a few times. He is very easy to just call up or email. He does answer phones and return your mail with your questions answered. I found it is a lot easier to just call him and ask. He usually says he has it or it will be there in a couple of days. Never fails. And dont feel guilty if you dont buy from him when you call, he knows some times you cant get it all at once and are getting your prices in line for a project....Watch for his sales too. :2thumbs:

It would help if I could read a phone number on the pen you gave me

That pen is still working  :bananasmi
I just ordered a new batch and the imprint area is just not big enough to put a phone # because of the size of my logo.
But I did get in some new cool coffee mugs that do have my phone # on them and all you need to do is drop me a line and I will send one out to you.

I just spent $3000.00 buying parts from Dante and he is great to deal with.
He gives you honest eta's and I've always found him accessable.
Dante. you are A-OK with me, and I hope those door panels fit.
