Just sold the only GM I'll ever own.
« on: July 13, 2007 - 08:00:47 PM »
John Deere GM that is.  Just sold it today. Hate to see it go, but I gotta fund other things.  Spent a lot of time and $$ on this thing.  Only thing it needed was paint.   :sadwavey:

Middle pic is Dad and I. Cant tell we're related.

The last pic is the guy driving out.

Sad, yes.  But here comes my 5.7/5 spd!  He he he.   :clapping: :woo:

AWW,

That's sad. It was SOO old and everything. Like selling off a horse that couldn't pull it's weight anymore.   :walkaway:

Hey Dave.  Just called a place in the cities today, have a 5.7 complete, and will throw in the Engine brain box for $1650.  45k miles on er though, but I dont think that will be a problem.  It came from an '04 too.  Let's just say I might be making a trip this week or weekend.   :2thumbs:

Steve, you'd die if you saw the tractors one of my uncles has.  He used to be into early Fords (even owned one of Capone's cars complete with extra thick glass and a Tommy Gun hole to shoot out of), but has gotten full-blown into restoring John Deere tractors.  I think he's up to something like 20 or so and there paint jobs get done by the leading painters in the area. (Mint and unreal for tractors)  He goes after the rarer ones, with one being a small dozer-type John Deere he purchased for some pretty crazy cash out in AZ. (It needed a complete rebuild and looked aweful.)
