Laying on the green

No, I'm not talking about your approach shot on the 18th. hole, nor your frolic with your girlfriend or wife in the back yard either  :roflsmiley:.

What I am talking about is, Carlisle. I know it has been a taxing weekend for all of us. But please if you haven't, please send 4C a little green, as in cash. He personally arranged and paid for the tent rental, he personally bought most (if not all) the goodies we ate for lunch. The tent cost $150.00 to rent and until we as a "club" have 25 cars regeristered it must be paid, and Dave took care of it. Now, we need to help him. I slipped him some money at GG to help out with the tent and food, but I have not see anything said about this on site. So please send him some money to help out, it's only right. That tent is so welcomed to get out of the direct heat and sun, unfortunately Russ was out more than he was under and he sure looked it. How an Alambama boy can come NORTH and get sunburnt is beyond me ?   :roflsmiley:

BTW, Dave had nothing to do with me posting this, I just feel it needs mentioning and those who can help out.  Thank you.   :2thumbs:

I sent Dave an E-mail days ago offering to buy something on E-bay for him that I knew he needed for his trouble at Carlisle in our behalf. I got no response.  :dunno: Dave, do I have to beat you over the head with a swizzle stick or what??  :clueless: Of all of us that were there, I'm sure we can kick in a few bucks.  :2thumbs: Where can we send the money? Paypal works.  :grinyes:

Thanks guys . . . I rent the tent because it's a great place to call home base while at the show.  Plus there have been times at the show when the temps have been in the 90*+ area and the shade and a chair are really inviting.  I hope soon we will get enough members to the show to get ourselves a free tent.  When we do that we then get a free tent the next year too!   :bananasmi   :bananasmi   :bananasmi
I also feel that most of the car shows charge way too much money for the food and drink at the shows!  :swear:   $3.50 for a small bottle of water is just unbelieveable!!   :screwy:  So it's not that hard to fry up some dogs and chips for everyone.  I got them at a deal with a buy one get one free.  Probably cost 50 cents a coney dog if that . . much more reasonable and not hard to do at a car show.

If you all really want to send me money, I guess I won't complain about it.  Check my profile for my email or PM me for my address.  MEK I'm sorry I didn't reply . . what I need it a 3 speed switch, already have the 2 speed.  Thanks for thinking of me!
