A/C with SB Edelbrock heads??
« on: July 09, 2007 - 10:38:18 AM »
Has anyone put A/C on a small block with Edelbrock heads?

I know the exterior of the heads are slightly different, so I was wondering if they needed special brackets to hook up the A/C components?  I was hoping to use the new Sanden compressor if at all possible.  Any ideas?

Thanks

If you are going to use the sanden compressor you will need a bracket for it so I would call Bouchillon Performance or check their website. www.bouchillonperformance.com.

the Bouchillion site is a good one for reference. If you dont see anything there that fits your needs, you can always make custom brackets like I did.

I was hoping to keep the installation simple and just bolt everything up.  I could make a bracket, but sometimes I feel like being lazy.   :2thumbs:

That is the kit I used for the brackets. If the heads have the bolt holes for the alt. bracket, I don't see any reason  why it would not work. Maybe catch you at the next cruise nite.

Thanks for the pic.

The heads have the bolt holes but they have a slightly different offset since the heads are flat on the ends.  This is why I had to go with the rounded alt, plus I had to add a few washers to make everything line up straight.

Maybe at the next cruise.   :2thumbs:
