WOODWARD CRUISE '07
« on: July 01, 2007 - 10:32:45 AM »
Making plans and it looks like I'm going for up to cruise Friday and Saturday. That's if my car can make it.

Where do all of the Mopars meet or Park?   I heard there are LOTS OF THEM THERE!
I hope to visit the Henry Ford Museum while there.

Usually I see the motor city mopar club in front of the cemetary, but they also have a parking lot with a huge mopar display!!  I think its at 13 mile but not positive.   :clueless:

Good to know.   I'll be staying off of 13 mile at my Nephew's house. Is the cemetary easy to see from woodward?

Shelbydogg,  The Main DCX Display is on the Southwest corner of Woodward & 13-Mile, however there is no general parking there.  All the display cars are there.  Like 4-Cruizn said the motor city mopar club is usually on the grass strip in front/side of the cemetary.  The cemetary is on the west side of Woodward between 12 mile and 13 mile road.  Parking is a real problem on Saturday, if you can walk from your Nephew's house that might be best.  Most of the stores on Woodward charge $ to park in there parking lots, if they are available.  It's quite the zoo on Saturday, but it's a car lovers dream.  If you can, check it out earlier in the week.  I pasted a link to the City of Royal Oak (the center of the cruise) about parking areas.  Hopefully it works.  I don't know if your into Shelby Mustang also or if that's the name of your dog.  But anyways the mustangs are at 9-mile & woodward in Hazel Park.

Thanks for the info Snowdog. I'll print your post for reference, while there.  I plan to cruise on Friday too.

My dog was named forThe Mopar Shelby.  I raced an IROC Daytona, and Shelby was putting his name on Chargers , Daytonas and Horizons in the late 80s.  ( I bet he wishes that he could take that back)

I'll check out the Mustangs too since I have a friend with 3 Shelby Mustangs
