Any members near Detroit? I need a favor

I wanna purchase an e body 4 speed from a cc.c member in Detroit, but he wont ship. Anybody here want to help me out if I purchase it?  If it can be atleast picked up from this guy, then I have time to work out details.

He says he's in Warren Mi.   He wants 150 for the 4 speed, flywheel ,clutch pressure plate and bellhousing. Cast crank 340 flywheel. I can really use the stuff. So if a member could get it and hold it for me till we can figure out shipping that would be a plus for me.  The guy says he is willing to help bring it to someones house, but just can't ship.   He's a new member and is already sending me PM's saying someone local is wanting it today. I wanna tell him its sold

 i am 10 minutes at the most from any part of warren.MI what is it that you need done. if you tell him that you want , how is the payment being made. i work for a chrysler dealer that he could drop it off at. but not knowing party a vs. party b ??why would I pay for parts for someone I do not know. I am going to wire him the money through paypal. He (stinger) sent me a pm saying he was going out of town for a few days but that it is mine....YES!!!

Tropicalcats is around 45 minutes away and is willing to go get it for me when he has time. And was going to hold onto it for me untill we could do something with shipping. The bell housing should be there too.  Stinger says he lives a 1/2 mile off I 696 in Warren Mi.  But here's a curious question?

You work at a chrysler dealer? Can you ship this to another chrysler dealer at my home town cheaper then freight truck?  When Stinger gets back into town, I am ready to send him his money and get this picked up.  It would take 2 hrs or more of tropicalcats time doing this for me and you say your 10 minutes away. If you couldn't ship it from your work, Richard will just hold it for me till we can get it too me.  Lemme know....thanks guys...ALAN

Alan, The best thing is to have it shipped to your place of work or home. The trans would need to be crated as well as the other parts of conciderable weight. cannot use a cardboard box. To another dealer ,unless you personally know someone there, then they will probably not want to get involve with this. where abouts do you live or address? When will he be back into town? Can he drop the parts off here? I am at 696 and gratiot. He should know of this dealership.

He'll be back wednesday night. For the most part Tropicalcats will just go pick it up for me and hold it for me. I work all over the USA and may even be able to drive up to him to pick it up on my break. Thanks for all the help you're offering Dave. It would of been handy if it could of went from dealership to dealership, but I see it's not possible with you. Also I live in Alabama. I pick up jobs in Mi alot. I was born and raised in Pontiac, and lived in Detroit area in the 50's and 60's, then finished high school in Greenville Mi.  I hate the land taxes there...ALAN

the issue of dealer to dealer is not me. It would be the other dealer, I ship parts all over the country now. Just depends if you have a contact there. If the seller is willing to drop the parts off here I can hang onto them, that also is not a problem.
