I was talking to a old mopar dude, and he told me he has a 18 spline 4 speed for $900.00 He said it is a E or B body type. Does this make since? I thought they where different. I dont have pics yet, a little insight would be helpful.

They are the same, the 4-speed has 2 mounting locations on the tail end, the e-body shifter attaches to the rear mount and the b body mounts in the front of the rear, $900 is pretty steep for a 4-speed unless it is a hemi 4-speed you can tell by counting the splines (ridges) on the shaft that sticks out of the front 18 is hemi and 23 is standard, check out this site

the early up to 69 4 spd had the mount in a different position & did not have the 2 shifter mount pads , only the front one for B body
be careful what you are buying
