Legendary Interiors'customer service
« on: August 12, 2007 - 05:17:27 PM »
Don't know if anyone remembers the post I made about door panels, so I'll repeat it. In 2001, I bought all new door panels, rear seat panels, kick panels and A post covers from Legendary. When they came in, since I was getting ready to ship the car out for body work, all I did was check them for damage and finish, then boxed 'em up again and put them in storage. Back to present; I got my car back in June, 2007 (don't ask about why so long..... that's an even longer story). Broke out the box, got all the panels out just to lay them in place to see how they looked. Found out that I got shipped to me, 2 left front door panels instead of one right and one left. I was, to say the least, sick.
Called Legendary, talked with a gal named Heather, who, after about a month of trying, got their manufacturer to send me two new panels, this time, one right, one left. The grain is just a little off since AccuForm changed their molds since mine, but not so badly that they won't work for a driver. In fact, the grain difference probably couldn't be seen, except that I know there is one.
All I can say is that Legendary is great when it comes to customer service. Even after 6 years. And Heather is an angel for having to deal with me and with their manufacturer.

Wow, that is customer service.  Most places would probably laugh and hang-up.

I'm sorry for the trouble, but if you noticed some nice rear seat panels, I'm surprised you didn't notice two door panels looking suspiciously the same.  :screwy: I'm glad they came thru for you.  I'm not busting on you here, but check closely whaterer you buy, from a company, or E-Bay.

Yeah Mike, you're right. That's why I was so sick over my not noticing what I got. Couldn't blame anyone but myself here. Lord knows I tried, but I just couldn't find anyone else to blame. NOT EVEN MY EX-WIFE and that's what really sucked.
Moral of the story is to be real attentive to EVERYTHING.............

Yea legendary seems to be a real great company! I called them about headliner material for my 71 project car and told the guy on the phone what it looked like and he said he had NEVER seen that kind of pattern before! so he gave me his e-mail address and asked me to take a picture of the headliner and e-mail it to him! and he would try to find material just like that to make me a headliner just like the one in my car  I think that is really nice............now we didn't talk price so we'll see just how nice he is gonna be when it comes to price    but just the fact that he is willing to go to that effort to find matching material since I don't want to use any material they have in stock!! I almost fell off my chair   :faint: so my oppinion of that company is that they are TOP NOTCH!!

:2thumbs: Legendary is tops, I know they can possibly be beat a little on $$$ but for service and followup they CAN'T BE BEAT in my oppinion. I ordered replacement vinyl for the Chally about six years ago too, and of course had to order both seat and back portions for the buckets, I had told the sales guy that the backs were fine and I only really needed the seat part. Well I understood that I had to order a complete set ( pairs.) He asked what else do ya need today, when I said rear package tray he said it's yours,.............free. Now he didn't have to do that, and I know that is a low dollar item, but to me it was the way he wanted to do something for a customer. That's why we have done three interriors with Legendary.  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:
