Who is selling them exactly? I'd like to call but am not sure just who is selling them? If anyone has one ordered please advise where and if anyone gets their hands on one please let the rest of us know about it.

Alan,
Ted only had a display of what is on it's way. No hoods are in stock yet. The hoods look pretty good and come with the trim ring. They told me the hoods had extra bracing underneath the frame work that can't be seen for added strength. I asked if the plan on offering a kit with base plate, bubble, and hardware and they told me yes but they never had a price worked up yet. My Cuda will look great with a shaker hood and I'm saving for it now.

I called Ted again today. Lucky me, I bought his last 70 cuda front bumper today. I am driving up there tomorrow to pick it up. He had no rears left tho. I am very close to going for a drive in my car now. Just got to finish the exhaust and tag and insure it. Thern I trailer it to the body shop to get finished painting.

NZ, I bought my shaker hood from Ultimate Rides in Texas. The first they sent me was pretty rough with some warpage. I called and they exchanged it for another one which we refinished in black but it still took a lot of work. There are a other people doing them but I forgot the names. Maybe my body guy will remember it. The others had a good price and seemed like they put them together better. The other thing I didn't like on mine was where the underhood brace met the hood metal. It was filled with lead just a filler or seam adhesive. The flange should cover it but I get weird about the sheets coming apart.

Also, there is a really good article in the OCT 07 issue of Mopar Muscle on building a shaker hood. I used a 71 flat hood for my conversion. I had a 70 flat hood but sold it recently.

I had bought a 71 Grill from Stephens and what a got was a bit of a disappointment and it was overpriced. Numerous areas broken with primer on front and rear... Over 3k. I think it was 3500.00 with shipping. It should have came cherry! I didn't keep it. I found another in Los Angeles that was from a six pack car.
