Ok, now that I got my car running again, I went to the gas station to fill it up. Wouldn't you know it when I went to start it up at the station it wouldn't start. I knew immediatley what the problem would be and I was right, the 3 plug connector came off the safety switch on the auto tranny.
After pushing the car out of the way and getting a nice burn from the exhaust, I got it hooked back up and I was on my way.
Well it must have come off again because the car wouldn't start later that day.
So my question is this, how can I bypass this thing so I don't look like a fool fumbling under the car and burning my hand? I think the rubber is hardened and the plugs worn out so it isn't fitting right anymore. I tried to secure it with some silicon but that didn't last too long. It has 3 little recepticals, can I jumper between 2 to bypass? Any ideas would be great!
(I do realize that this will defeat the purpose of a safety switch and am well aware of the hazards
)
