I know some things that need to be asked but I don't know a great deal... What all should I be asking with this?

What jumps out at me is "body work needed". At that price, it better not be much, but often you don't realize the extent of rust until you dig into it. The frame rails need to be solid. These cars are famous for leaking water from the bottom of the rear window into the trunk. The water just sits there and rots out the trunk since it never dries out. Rear quarter panels are another rust prone area, as is the firewall/cowl area. I would ask about these areas for sure. Hopefully all the car needs is new paint, for your sake.

I saw that car at the show where those pictures were taken. Its a pretty decent car but needs paint. It has a 440 in it now but was a 383 car from what I remember. He lives 10 miles away or so.

I sent him an email for more info and a number of pics and this is what I got:

Quote
Here are the areas that need the most body work.
The trunk area was patched w/sheet metal, the rear
window valance was replaced, the windshield and back
glass were removed for rust repair and there was rust
repair on the r/frt floor pan. These I only have
regular photos of.

Heh... needs a bit more than some paint but if thats the full extent of its problems then maybe I can get him to come down a bit after inspection?
