Im soory guys buy no mopar should be called a clone/fake/tribute or whatever...... If you think about a clone/fake/tribute or whatever is a Lamborghini on a Fiero body!!!!! I made up my mind after this thread and Im gonna get a tag made thats says 72 Challenger Resto Mod 1 of 1 and pack away the original!!! If we all did this that situation would never come up again for the fender tag readers...... :burnout:

It is what it is.   I just don't understand why people feel the need to label things.

"Tribute" car just sounds kinda faggy to me, are you going to paint Elvis on it and drive it in parades wearing a funny little hat?

"Recreation" is something guys who haven't gotten over the Civil War do.

"Clone" implies something that is an exact duplicate of something else, which it can't be, because it isn't real O-U-8-1-2 code car.

What are we going to call the new '71 Cuda bodies that are coming soon from China?  Are we going to need a special term for those, too?

How about just calling it a Cuda (or Challenger)?

The filthy unwashed masses will think it's a real Hemi Cuda, and most Mopar VIN number crunchers who aren't complete asshats will still think its cool.  The asshats that rag on you because it isn't real are probably measuring their wang by the VIN numbers.  Those guys suck, don't get laid, and won't get it anyways, so why worry?  Let them enjoy their trailer queen garage dust magnet while we're out driving our cars as intended.

Call it whatever you want, as long as you get maximum enjoyment out of owning/driving it.    :woohoo:

Some years in the future, long after the 71 Cuda had parted its stable with the 67 Corvette, its new owner wanting to know its history and what kind of car it really was asked the Cuda if you could only talk you could tell me if you're a clone, a tribute, a recreation or a fake. The new owner decided to have the car examined by a car geneoligist. The geneoligist examined the Cuda for several weeks and with the owner becoming very impatient, the geneoligist finally reached a decision and completed his report. Anxiously, the owner took the report. It read.... after looking at every detail I find the the car is not a clone because it wasn't created in a peetree dish. Second, I find that it isn't a tribute car because one like this never came from the factory. Third and last, recreation, impossible, this car was already created by a company called Plymouth in the 1970's and since the car hasn't died it can't be recreated. So after, extensive testing and research I find that this car was really made by Plymouth near the end of a muscle car era that made its mark on history and even Ebay's record sales list. My advice to you would be to call it a Cuda with a Hemi in it.
