Some pics of Seoul Korea and the DMZ
« on: August 16, 2007 - 12:11:56 AM »
I just found some pics of Korea and i thought i would share. I was in Seoul, an Army base right in the middle, a very small base. No tanks or anything like that. I got very lucky to be stationed there. There were only 80 Infantry guys, my old unit was called the Honor Guard. We guarded the 4 Star General over the whole Asian theater.

I watched a documentary on North Korea and the DMZ etc. Man I can't believe you were inside that building and actually were allowed to take pictures. Its one crazy place to say the least.

Dude the North Koreans look so different from the South. I seen two less than 5 feet away, they where deflectors that just dropped there weapons, and crossed the DMZ. They brought them to Seoul at the building i was guarding to interview. They look mean! I would not want to mess with one. During the missile crisis, we never had a real plan. They said the north could level Seoul in about 15 min. and there was nothing we could do. 2nd ID is just a speed bump if they came across. But they dont have the material to substain fighting. The first couple days would be hell.     This pic is me by a MIG at the Korean War Museum
