Well, I just got back from GA with the car...Mechanically the car went the 1,300 miles awesome, but I had an issue with my driver's side window not wanting to go up all the way (only about 1/3) and I got stuck going through some flash flooding areas from Indiana all the way through Green Bay, WI.  Other than that, I'm still happy I bought it and plan on getting most of the minor things fixed within the next couple weeks.

Oh, and I thought I'd have to tear into the rear to check out the gears from a chugging effect I got in fifth gear while doing 80, but later found out I should be using forth gear for the rpm range I needed...Translation: THIS CAR IS NUTS FAST!!!! (And I haven't even checked/fixed any boost leaks.)

Like I was saying earlier, my brother has the exact same car.....and his window won't go up either...haha.  Those cars are super fast, 1/4mile and top speed, I had a new WRX and up to 120mph we were pretty even, but after that he could take me top end....I don't reccomend going that fast though, I was young and stupid.

Let's just say I can attest to it being "very quick". :grinyes:  I couldn't believe how much bite it had even in a couple inches of rain with the new 245/45/17ZR's on it.  It was fun driving it (even with rain coming in on my side) through downtown Chicago. :burnout:

As for the police, I wasn't pulled over once, whether for speed or no plates.  I passed so many between here and there then back, so it was all good.  I actually figured I'd see a local cop and end up getting pulled over for no plate after already driving 1,275 miles trouble-free. :roflsmiley:

If you ever need tires for that car, check with your local ford dealer, my brother got a pretty much new set of tires for free, the crown vic police cars use the same tire size and they replace them quite frequently.

May save you a few bucks if you blow out a tire or something.   :2thumbs:
