T/A Spoiler

I was wondering if anyone has the diagram that is used to install the T/A spoiler? I'm hoping it shows were to drill on the underside of the trunklid. I was also wondering if anyone has slotted the bumper brackets on a 73 Challenger to move the bumpers forward/back. I really want to get rid of my filler panel. It has shrunk over the year and doesn't fit right. Thanks in advance!

How do you drill the holes for the underneath side?

Some of the sheetmetal needs to be cut away on the underside of the trunk lid. First Place Auto Parts sells a solid template for this, I have them from when I installed mine, if you want to pick them up cheap.

Google "install Mopar wing spolier" and you'll see an article from one of the Mopar magazines describing how to do this. The article is about the G0-Wing spoiler, but the principle is the same.

The above diagram wasn't right when I installed my T/A spoiler from First Place. Check it before you drill. Cant remember which dimensions were wrong, but when you do it, layout that pattern on top of the deck lid - then see how it lines up with the actuall spoiler. Mine needed to be moved 1/4" to work correct.

Conserning the bumpers: You must use brackets from a 70-72 model for both front and rear. On Cuda's maybe the front can be slotted to move it in closer, but that's wont work on a Challenger. Your exsisting front bumper can be reused, just toss out the reinforcing plate. To reuse your exsisting rear, the bolt holes in it will not line up with the 70-72 bracket, even after pitching the reinforcing plate. So you will need to drill new holes or get a new bumper.

Front brackets on a 73-74 challenger just need redilled to the new position to work. Rear brackets are a no go like you said. You must use orginal 70-72 brackets and drill or replace the bumper its self.
