Southeastern New Mexico. Pretty much the same climate as Southern Arizona or Las Vegas if you have been there.

Sorry Neil for going off like that the other day, but it just pisses me off that like others have said we have the outcast of Mexican society coming here every day and like it seems nothing happens even when they do get caught. Yes there are the latinos who come here following the rules of getting into the country, but from all stats. etc. there are more illegals than anything. And yet you can't find a way to legally get into the states, it just got to me, it aint right and I just went off in my own little way. I'm behind you Neil, I at least to a point understand, and as of now it seems like Al is the one that at the moment that can help you out. Like PistolGripper said yesterday at the Nats., this forum has evey facet of society within it's membership, certainly someone on here can somehow help you. Legally, professionally, business people, they are all here as members.................THERE HAS TO BE A WAY !!

But you got to do what is best for you, but I for one hate the thoughts of you being even farther away.

 No problem Jim
I feel the same frustration
actually Panama is closer to a lot of the us than I am living here
27 years of trying to get otu of the cold & still no closer there just doesn`t seem to be a way to continue to do what I love & do it year round so I can survive , I will see what the future is , I will try sorting things out with Al not sure fi that will work yet either but it will still stop me working on cars so it still becomes a trade off that I am not so sure I want

Neil, I talked to one of the managers today and they said they were hiring welders right now and looking for grinder trainee supervisors. The guy (MIKE) told me you living out of the country may be a plus. He has a new location he is working out of and it is in Gonzales Louisiana. He said he is hiring welders as well. He was working in arkansas and mississippi. He also said the have a big 9 week job going on in alberta right now. Thought you might want to know. I also told him you were locating to Panama and he said ok.

Sorry I cant proof read this too good. My glasses are in the house at my desk computer, I am in my shop working on seatbelts and console on my cuda

Might not be too much help here, but still playing the student angle... have you considered trying to get a job teaching at a technical/automotive academy here in the states? I am sure that mechanic certifications from Canada are transferrable, and if you need letters of reference, you have many, many members here who can attest to your skill with automobiles...
