Yes.

  The compareable option on a Challenger would be S/E.

...if I remember correctly, it has a "BP" vin

BP29 for a hardtop
BP27 for a vert (there were Gran Coupe Convertibles)

Yes its a BP(Barracuda Premium price)They came with overhead console,like the challenger SE previously stated.Leather interior and a different type of rocker moldings.Most of the cars were 318 cars with a rare option of a 383-330 horse.My GC is a 383-4 car,one of 674 for 1970.You could also get a 4 speed.No other engine was available for this car.You could option them with any other thing you wanted,Cuda hood,lights,shakers,4 speeds ect,rally guages.There are not many left,most were cloned into Cuda's over the years.Its a shame becuase now they are becoming scarce to find.

My first car was a slant 6 column shift auto Gran coupe. B3 with blue interior. The engine choices were across the board, but top HP was the 383 CI 330 HP 4 bbl. The 440 and 426 were not available. They had gran coupe badges on the front fenders and tail panel.
