Started off the day, (up at 6:30) meeting some friends for a car show up at the Washington County Fair grounds. Its about 35 miles north of me, but got to hang with a couple of buddies who also got some nice rides. One with a nice T-Bucket the other with a 56 Bowtie. Any way on the way to the show we stop at a special place for gas. I'm thinkin' whats this about?? Well they got 110 octance race gas at the pump! Nikki was enjoyin' that! At $5.29 a gallon she better like it! But hey, she does for me I do for her..
Anyway about 100+ cars at the show , a nice day and no rain! (To many bowties tho!!!)
After about 3 hrs I'm BORED, saw what I'm gonna see, talked to who I'm gonna talk to. (which is why I suppose I dont have alot of awards... I don't hang around long enuff!) Any way I'm packin' up and they call my ticket number for a door prize, I win a Harley shirt for the wife ...cool..
Anyway heading back home I pass a watering hole that I have hit on occasion. They're havin a show. I circle around to see whats up. The owner sees me , pulls the safety cones away and says hey if you want in you can park right here. I'm thinkin why not. The shows got free registration. I figure WTF why not. I run into a buddy who's there with his Talledaga and another with his new Ford GT. As time goes I'm runnin' into all kinda people that are really likin' NIKKI (I'm the only Mopar at this thing!!) I meet 2 diferent females who want to go for a ride one of whom tells me ... well were she lives. And we'll leave it at that! ( pretty good day for an' old guy!
) Any way then they call my number for a door prize. I go up and I get a handed a die-cast cuda. I'm like, a mopar cool. They ask me is that a problem... I point, and say see the green..... O hell no! Then I go back to Nikki run into a few other folks I haven't seen in awhile and notice an older couple eyeing me and Nikki. Yes older than BIG! I start talking with them and they invite Nikki and me (well mostly Nikki) to an invitation only car show at the yacht club next weekend!
