Looking for a certain dash thread
« on: September 05, 2007 - 07:43:43 AM »
About 6-9 months ago someone posted a thread that showed a homemade dash stand.  Can someone provide that thread.  Also, I,m taking off the dash pad.  It needs to be repaired or replaced.  I have taken off the 10 nuts that hold it on but the pad seems separate part of the way from the frame.  Can you provide some advice to a novice?

Thanks,
Walt

Walt,

There are 2 speed nuts behind the glove box liner, and another one hidden behind the ashtray assembly. They hold the dashpad to the front of the frame. Did you get those? Also, there is a screw on the outside of each end of the dashpad.

Mike, thank for the info.  It worked I had to remove the one behind the ashtray.  The pad came off with ease.

Lunch, thank for the pics.  I will build a frame this weekend while I wacth the Eagles play.  Go Eagles.

To all, can the cracks in the dashpad and the crack in the plastic be repaired.

I have attached some pics.
