Cuda Consoles -4 speed vs. Auto - what are the differences
« on: September 01, 2007 - 09:03:49 AM »
Swapping out my 727 auto for a new Keisler 5 speed as soon as the UPS guy brings everything :-)
I figured for now I would just go with the shifter boot and no console while I look for a nice console.
I'm assuming the auto console won't work for the 4 speed?
I did order new carpet this week too.

What are the differences between the consoles?
How hard is it to find a nice 4 speed console?

Thanks

You could modify your automatic console. You would need the 4-speed top plate, and you would need to enlarge the opening on the base of the console for the shifter.

Is this something done often?  how does it look compared to a real 4 speed console?
Thanks

The make a pattern to cut the side for the 4 spd boot.  Lots of people do it and it is done often...I just did it 2 weeks ago before I left for work
