Usually really big trash bags, like 55 gallon drum liners. Don't know if they would fit over a big block, probably not one with a pan and intake. I have also used body masking plastic when building motors at the body shop. Just big sheets of thin plastic. For long term sealing I have used packaging shrink wrap like you would wrap a pallet for shipping. Summit sells engine bags as well.

I have used engine bags from a machine shop,it is a tight fit with all the accessories in.Maybe I'll just shrink wrap this time.I just get worried about all the bugs and such getting into a fresh motor, even though its stored in my shop.Bugs can get into everything if you let them.Or even mice nests, hate those meeces to peeces
