Hello everyone...
We'll here is my story. I grew up a Chevy owner in the 80s with a 69 Nova but I always loved the Mopars. The small block chevy and my budget were much more in line at the time though. Then the 90s rolled around and I went through a lot of small import sports cars (yeah little 2 seater rice burners). However, I always had some form of V8 fun laying around even if it was a Jeep or International Scout.
By the 2000s I was starting to make some disposable income and picked up an all numbers matching 383 70' Cuda that had just been restored. I loved the car, was orange with black vinyl top. However, my wife and found a dream home, a small farm with a huge house out in the country, pond and 6000sq/ft shop out back. I sold the Cuda, my prestine CJ-7 V8 jeep and a few other play toys to help make a big down payment on it.
We'll 5 years later I finally recovered and so I decided I wanted another cuda. One thing I didn't like about my 383 cuda was with it being all matching numbers I felt like it was a historic house in a historic district, I couldn't modify it, do anything to it, change anything about it. That's what pushed me this time to want a 440 car that isn't numbers matching. Save me some $$$ and give me the freedom to do a few things to it.
So I picked up a nice purple 440 6 pack recreation. It has white interior, solid no rust body, nice paint job. Done up nicely for a 440 recreation. It was originally a 318 a/c car.
So, its at my mechanics now getting all checked out and tuned up. Monday I plan to order the Keisler 5 speed kit and get started on that install (something I felt I couldn't do to the 383 car). It currently has a 727 auto in it.
I'll keep you updated as it progresses into exactly what I want.
Few things on my list to do:
Keisler 5 speed setup
Rally Dash Swap (has standard)
New tires, don't care for the Eagles
Here are a few pics..
Thanks
