Maybe I used a wrong term - I thought that the vertical tube in the trunk, where 4 tubes from the tank vents go is in fact a charcoal canister?
My car is N95 and the tubes looked like this before resto:

Barry, thanks for the diagrams but I already know them and the prinicpe on how the ECS system works. I just need a good shot of a 70 challenger from underneath.

How should the shield be fastened and to which elements?

I found my old shield (I almost dumped it thinking is a self made protection addred by the previous owner) and it is slightly bend.
It has 3 holes - 2 where connected to the inner/outer wheelhouse and one somewhere to the framerail? On the Barry's pictures I see no screw in that 3rd hole. How should it be mounted?

And the color - my shield is black on the inner side and slightly orange + undercoating on the outerside. Whatis the proper color?

Here is one on a restored car, it looks like his was bare.

If yours shows black paint you should put it back that way.

Shoudnt there be the 3rd attaching point for that shield? It's strange that such a piece of metal is fastened only with 2 little screws and bounces while car is moving. However I see no place to fasten it using the third hole - but the factory put that hole for a reason...

Odd, but that appears to be the way it is.
