RoadRunner question
« on: September 24, 2007 - 10:30:12 PM »
What does a V8X code stripe look like on the '70 RR?  My cousin has one, and I was wondering what it looked like.  I'm figuring out his fender tag.

I know he really really wants that dust stripe down the side, whats the code for that?

Seeing as that is a 70 I am willing to bet it is the "dust trail" stripe that comes out of the scoop and runs all the way to the front fender ending with a little road runner at the front. Pretty cool stripe IMO. I am just guessing though  :swaying:

Thanks a ton Barry.  The previous owner had it decoded by Galen in '95, but the paper isnt in the greatest shape.  Plus, all it says is "transverse tape sport stripe"

They could just say "spoiler"

Thanks

Well, my circle got a bit big there. The transverse stripe is on the decklid. It has nothing to do with the spoiler.  ;)

Hey Barry, one more question.  What type of rear end does he have with the code "054" on the broadcast sheet?  Would that say the rear gears too?  Thanks

Cool, thanks.  Is that with sure-grip or open?

Look on line two of the sheet, left side. What are the "D" codes?

Barry, it looks like this

DTrans   D41   DAxle   D91

32           -       53        -

DTrans   D41   DAxle   D91

32           -       53        -

D32 - Automatic transmission

D53 - 3.23 gears

No D91, so it did not come with a Sure-Grip
