I am sorry to hijack, but I used the tag generator stated within this thread and came up with:

"V68 - Delete Stripes"

Does that mean I my car had no stripes on it?

Also is the information I gathered from the tag generator the only info availible from this tag?

I know I am a novice, but it seems like there should be more to it.....my whole car is summed up in 100 words or less.

Thanks!

Yes, your car had no longitudinal R/T stripes. The easy way to confirm this is by the fact that you have actual R/T emblems on the fenders.

Cool.......does "stripping" just refer to blackouts or does it refer to the painted band on the back of the car....the reason I ask is because my fendor tag does not have a V7* code on it, but the car came to me with a gold stripe across the back of the car (i.e. the last ~6 inches of the deck lid and quarer panel)............is the current paintjob correct, or should my car be just painted green with no accents.

Thanks Again!

Rooster, you should post a picture of your fender tag, just blurr out the last 6 digits if you like, that way someone can tell you exactly what is correct.

IF you have the r/t emblems on your fenders your car didn't come with side stripe, but the rear stripe is called a bumblebee stripe, and I think it could have came with that. A green car and gold stripe woudl be rare if thats teh way it came.   :2thumbs:
